My Philosophies

A few months ago, I thought I was going to start bringing lessons from art into the corporate world. I was wrong. After a mind-bending and revolutionizing class from Kelly Rae Roberts and Beth Nicholls called Hello Soul, Hello Business, I can say my approach to my creative business has been revolutionized. Even in the middle of the class, I was still working on writing the training manual I had in mind for the corporate world. But then something happened – I asked for an accountability partner to “report to” as I was writing and making progress on that book. In the process of that dialogue, I started sharing the basic concepts of the process and !Oila! my approach transformed into bringing lessons from my professional life as a project manager to the art world. And a new class was born:

From Idea to Launch – 8 Principles to Manage Your Time Beautifully

Embracing the Chaos of Creativity and Remaining Productive

I want to inspire artists who embrace the chaos of creativity to continue to embrace that lovely chaos and serendipity of messy creativeness. I want to encourage artists, creatives, and solo entrepreneurs who have life priorities that take higher precedence than their creative business that they can still wiggle in creative business growth while keeping their eyes on their true priorities. There is a more beautiful way to manage your priorities and your time and turn your ideas into reality. If you are dreaming big, then you need a way to start doing the work to make those big ideas a Big Beautiful Reality. The speed at which you can move is really dependent on your situation – you may find you need to go slow and balance the rest of your life or you might find yourself with an opportunity to plow ahead at full steam.

Project Management the Creative Way

Taking a class on project management may seem strange, even contradictory, to the chaos of the creative spirit. I will introduce a way that embraces these dichotomies of creation and organization in a beautiful way. By introducing a gentle tension between art and organization, you can embrace your creativity and chaos and life and yet still develop a gentle forward momentum that helps you realize your dreamy ideas into existence. By embracing both sides of this tension, you can more effectively realize your creative dreams through to completion. We will be leaving behind the habits of spinning our wheels, feeling overwhelmed, and feeling stuck.

I Believe…

  • I believe in Creative Chaos (as proven by the state of my studio) and the amazing results of serendipity; guided by a kind and gentle boundary of Control
  • I believe in Creative Beauty; lightly tethered to Practicality
  • I believe in Dreaming; balanced with Dream Catching in an artful way

Join me in a journey of not just dreaming, but capturing and doing and bringing your beautiful ideas to life!
